The Mt. McDonald project is a proposed 150MW wind project located on the highest peaks of Mt. McDonald and Smith Island, immediately southeast of Port Edward, BC. There are currently four 80 metre MET Masts on the site all of which have been returning strong wind data since 2007.
Bridge Power has close and beneficial working relationships with First Nations in the area of the Mt. McDonald Wind Project. Bridge Power is working with the Lax Kw’alaams and Metlakatla First Nations. The project is an important source of clean energy supply on the North Coast and is well positioned to serve as a GHG offset solution for the proposed LNG industry.
